Brian Jones is a director
in the Business Valuation and
Litigation Support Services Group and
the firm's Financial Reporting practice leader.
Brian has substantial knowledge of public auditor (financial reporting),
IRS and SEC expectations. He specializes in valuations for financial
reporting purposes (i.e., SFAS 141, 142, 144, 133, etc.) and has significant
experience in the identification, valuation, and determination of the remaining
economic useful life of intangible assets, including patented and unpatented
technology, software, in-process research and development, non-compete and other
employment agreements, licenses, customer relationships and contracts,
trademarks and trade names, and assembled workforces. Additionally, Brian has
substantial experience in the valuation of privately held businesses for IRC
409A and FASB 123(R) purposes.
Brian received his Bachelor of Science in
Economics from Oregon State University and his Masters in Financial Market and
Trading from Illinois Institute of Technology. Prior to joining Ringel Kotzin
Valuation Services, Brian was a vice president in the Seattle office of Duff &
Phelps, LLC, and was a Senior Associate in the Corporate Value Consulting
practice in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Seattle office..
